I wish I could leave a zero star review. Our party of ten was told it would be 5-10 minutes to be seated for our 7:30 reservation. Around 7:55, the hostess and I spoke about which tables should have been ours. The couple that were still there had been enjoying their dessert for over 30 minutes. Now, I have been in the Service industry for over 20 years. When there is a large party waiting and there are other smaller tables available, it is very easy to nicely ask the guests to move to a different table. Perhaps even offer to buy them another dessert or after dinner drink for their inconvenience. None of this occurred and my party waited over 45 minutes only to finally get frustrated enough to leave. The manager took my name and number, but I have a hard time believing that D’Raymonds really cares. It’s really sad that an establishment ranked one of the ‘best Italian restaurants’ by many capital region publications repeatedly shows a blatant disregard for the people who make reservations. This is not the first time I’ve been inconvenienced by the restaurant, but it is the LAST.

Real good food, quiet atmosphere. Stopped in for lunch during work. Say right away, friendly wait staff. Food was prepared very well. Delicious. Will have to try again for dinner and cocktails

I have been dining at D'Raymonds for 15 years, and have never had a bad meal. It is the best Italian restaurant in the Albany area bar none. Veal is the standout dish, and their red sauce is delicious. Note that this is a slow food restaurant, and is always busy. You need a reservation. Great food and wine is a certainty, and they have a full bar. Long may this place reign as the queen of Italia in our region.

I had the worst dining experience here. I ordered the most expensive meal on the menu along with mussels and requested mild sauce. When the mussels came they were spicy but I dealt with it. Then along came my meal that was supposed to have king crab leg. The sauce was beyond spicy, there was no king crab and I was not informed of this while they were making my food. My husband ordered veal franchise and requested the same sauce on the pasta. When his arrived, he had red sauce on the pasta - when we asked we were told “the chef ran out of sauce”. Why weren’t we told about this before our food arrived? Come to find out that mild sauce is used on everything, generic sauce pre made, not made TO ORDER. So I wind up sending it back and getting it scampi style and when that came it was bland! The manager came over and didn’t offer anything to compensate for our bad experience - only apologies. I will never go there again.

The staff is amazing. Eric our service took good care of our group of five women. That's not easy. The coffee was delicious The food was good too.
